What You Need

  • Coffee Maker: An espresso machine is ideal, but a Moka pot works wonders. (Avoid instant coffee; it lacks the body needed).
  • Ice Cream: A premium tub of vanilla bean (Häagen-Dazs or similar).
  • Glassware: A clear glass cup is best so you can see the layers.

The Process

  1. Chill your glass: Place your serving glass in the freezer for 5 minutes. This prevents the ice cream from melting the second it touches the glass.
